I’m Kamyar Shah — fractional COO, fractional CMO, and business advisor with 20+ years running operations, revenue, and growth for companies across the US and internationally.

My work is built on one principle: business problems are operations problems. The reason companies stall — at $1M, at $5M, at $20M — is almost never strategy. It’s execution infrastructure. The systems, processes, and team structures that either support growth or quietly kill it.

What I Do

I work as a fractional executive — embedded in your business, acting as your COO or CMO without the full-time overhead. I’m not a consultant who delivers a deck and leaves. I show up in your operations, your pipeline reviews, your team meetings, and I stay until the work is done.

The businesses I work with are typically $1M–$25M in revenue and facing the same set of predictable breakdowns: a sales process that depends too heavily on the owner, a marketing spend with no attribution, operations held together by tribal knowledge, and a leadership team that’s strong on execution but thin on systems.

I’ve worked in construction, dental, HVAC, healthcare, legal, insurance, manufacturing, freight, SaaS, and professional services. The verticals are different. The problems are not.

My career spans C-suite roles at multiple companies — from early-stage startups to mid-market firms — plus years of advisory work across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. I’ve built sales teams from zero, rebuilt broken operations under pressure, scaled marketing from $0 to eight-figure pipeline, and managed P&L across dozens of business units.
